Hello,

I am hoping that everyone can rally behind Tenisha and her family during this difficult time.

I didn’t want to make this too lengthy. Everyone who knows Tenisha saw the fb post about her son Mason.

I have never met him, but from his photos you can tell he’s a sweet, loving, energetic young boy.

He was recently having major issues with sleep apnea, which required an MRI to figure out why. He was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation-a rare brain/spinal cord disorder. Cases vary in severity. His is severe enough that he needs immediate surgery pending to happen on Monday April 11th 2022.

I’m sure his mother, family, friends, classmates and teachers are all worried for this little peanut. With that being said, after surgery, it will be several months of recovery.

Tenisha, temporarily, cannot work. Even though people can sympathize with your situation, life goes on. Groceries need bought, gas needs used for appts and hospital stays, rent/mortgages need paid, and utilities to be current.

I’d like to think all of us, as parents would go to the end of the earth for our children. Financial hardship and depleting your savings just to survive shouldn’t be a burden the family has to dealt with.

Unemployment has been filed, but it can take sometimes months to go into effect and that kind of time isn’t a luxury at this moment.
