Help my recently widowed mom through tough times

Mother~ what can I say to describe my mama. She strives to do the most she can for absolutely everyone. She is a people person, the woman knows everyone and they all adore her. She is deeply emotional, but she’s always put herself on the back burner.
She is fiercely determined to keep her family happy, so much so that she and my father even adopted her granddaughter when my eldest brother was struggling with addiction. My father was on disability for a very long time, as he struggled with rheumatoid arthritis in both his hands and hips. About five years ago my father fell very ill to a myriad of illnesses, but the one that killed him was emphysema. We watched as my father went from a reasonably healthy, loving, crafty man. To using oxygen tanks and not being able to leave the living room. He died in June 2019, about a week after my mother’s birthday.

The reason I decided to start a go fund me for her was mostly because she’s a 60 years old woman who has never had time to relax. She’s never had a space she could retreat to and feel comfortable in.

Every chance she has had, she’s chosen someone else’s happiness over her own. She put me through college on a hair dressers salary. Once I graduated she decided to put money down for me to have a car instead of saving money for retirement. She took care of my father for the five years of his devastating illness, doing absolutely everything around our home and making his last few days easier. She has helped both of my brothers through their struggles and journeys through life and continues to help them as much as possible. She currently raises my six year old niece while still working as a hair dresser.

Any amount you can donate gets my mother one step closer to having her dream bedroom/fixed bathroom.

The grief of losing a loved one is incomparable, but the grief of losing your soulmate is insurmountable. She shared this room with my father for 25 years, and I just want to help her feel better.

I’m hoping to raise at least 3k to help her restore her bedroom and bathroom so she can have a smile on her face when she comes home, and her own space to rest her very exhausted heart. span>
