Carlos Perales and family

Hi, my name is Derek Perry and I am reaching out for our dear friend Carlos and his family.

 

In 2017 Carlos was diagnosed with Metastatic Colon Cancer, stage 4. This was shortly after Carlos and Andrea welcomed their twin boys. To say the least it has been a trying journey for this family. All the while remaining hopeful that Carlos could fight this fight.

 

Carlos has fought this disease long and hard for almost 5 years. During these 5 years he has gone through 60+ treatments. After Carlos' recent scans his oncology team at UCSF and Emanuel Medical Center determined the chemo treatments were no longer working. The cancer grew and has become immune to chemotherapy. Carlos' oncolgy team has decided to stop the treatments and look for clinical studies he may qualify for.

 

Carlos and his family are asking for donations to help offset any financial burden the studies may cause. This will help with travel, loss of work, and any other expenses they may experience that are not covered so Carlos can have any and every available option to help fight his fight. We will not give up!
