At the heartbreaking age of 48 , ANWAR FLOYD-PRUITT, passed away on September 9, 2025 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

A tireless artist, keen curator, loving son, caring brother, and compassionate spirit; Anwar will be greatly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and countless other people he touched through his artwork and his dedicated community building.

The ANWAR FLOYD-PRUITT LEGACY FUND will ensure his light continues to shine brightly, radiating the inspiration and joy that made him beloved by so many. Your contribution will support the preservation and exhibition of Anwar's prolific body of artwork, the commissioning of memorial art pieces created in his honor, and the carrying forward of his goals as a passionate community leader and champion of youth arts enrichment.
