Ihr aktueller Chancenaufenthalt endet in 10 Monaten, ihre Möglichkeit der Aufenthaltssicherung ist ein Asylfolgeantrag. Die Chancen hierdurch in einen gesicherten Aufenthalt zu gelangen stehen gut, denn bei einer Abschiebung in den Irak droht ihr als alleinerziehende, unverheiratete Frau mit Emanzipationsbestrebungen eine Gefahr für Leib und Leben.

Maryam ist vor mehr als 10 Jahren als Kind nach Deutschland gekommen, ist hier groß geworden und hat - trotz jahrelangem Leben in einem unsicheren Duldungsstatus – viele Hürden überwunden.

Für ihr Kind wünscht sie sich ein anderes Leben mit einer sicheren Perspektive und einer Zukunft, die sie selbst gestalten können – ohne begrenzte Rechte und Versorgung, ohne Wohnsitzauflage und ohne permanente Angst vor Abschiebung!

Für die anstehenden Anwaltskosten benötigt sie noch 1200 Euro. Daher bitten wir euch nun um Unterstützung.

We need donations to support Maryam (19) in her fight for the right to stay for herself and her unborn baby! 

Her current temporary residence permit expires in 10 months, and her

only chance of securing permanent residence is to apply for asylum. The chances of her being granted permanent residence are good, because as a single, unmarried woman striving for emancipation, she would be in danger of physical harm if she were deported to Iraq. 

Maryam came to Germany as a child more than 10 years ago, grew up here, and—despite years of living with uncertain temporary residence status—has overcome many hurdles. She wants a different life for her child, with secure prospects and a future that they can shape themselves—without limited rights and benefits, without residence restrictions, and without the constant fear of deportation!

She still needs €1,200 for the upcoming legal fees. That is why we are now asking for your support. If you have anything to spare to help Maryam in her fight for the right to stay, that would be really great!
