A week ago today I received a phone call that I will never forget from my mom. She said “We are okay, but the house burned down” and in that moment all I could do was thank GOD that they made it out. They were sleeping, it was after midnight but a noise woke them up and they were able to get out. Everyday I have thanked God, that I didn’t receive a different phone call that morning, telling me that they were gone.

It has been a very hard week for my family. I would like to say thank you to all the people who have prayed, helped and offered to help and to ask that you continue to pray for my family in the coming weeks.

For those people who have reached out to me and asked what can we do, I would say Gift cards or money, so they can buy the everyday things.
