*UPDATE*

Mum had her aortic valve replacement surgery in The Royal Hospital, Belfast on 7th October. All went well with no complications & she was discharged a week later to start the long recovery process. Unfortunately, she took unwell on one of her new heart medications & had another short stay in Antrim Area. She is now home, feeling much better and ready to fully recover ❤️

As most of you know, Mum is currently waiting for Aortic Valve Replacement surgery & has been in the cardiac ward of Antrim Area Hospital for the past 2 weeks. She will remain there until her surgery in The Royal, with some recovery time there before finally coming home and resting up for a few months of full recovery. During her time in hospital, she has been very well looked after by the amazing staff in the cardiac ward and we are so thankful that her long stay in hospital has been a comfortable one, overcoming any hurdles faced and making sure she is fit and well for her operation in the coming weeks.

I'd love to give something back as a 'thank you' for the amazing work they do and the care given to Mum recently through this difficult time. During the month of October, myself & Kirsty are going to run a total of 100K in the hope to raise money for the Cardiac Unit at Antrim Area Hospital. Myself & Mum are so thankful for the support over the past few weeks. I am super proud of how she has had the strength to deal with everything, my hero, my Mum.
