Antonios recovery from cancer

Hi, my name is Lizetth, and I am raising funds for my dad, Antonio Rodriguez.
My dad is one of the hardest-working men I have ever known. In August of 2021, my dad was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma rectal cancer (stage 2)
After chemo and radiology treatments, my dad's cancer tumor shrunk however his pain increased, and doctors decided to end treatments and proceed with surgery.
On March 7, 2022, my dad went in for a very lengthy (11 hrs) but successful surgery. He remained in the hospital for observation and recovery. And as planned was able to return home.
Unfortunately, within 24 hrs, my dad had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance due to excruciating pain caused by a perforated colon. (Major setback!) After another intense and lengthy but successful surgery, my dad was intubated for a couple of days to reduce the level of pain while recovering. Every couple of days, the amount of medicine administered decreased, and a new assisting tube was removed. (ET, feeding, ect.,)

We almost lost him, but he's a trooper. And the medical staff did an outstanding job giving him a second chance.
With a VERY long road to recovery, my dad was finally discharged and sent home on July 8, 2022
He came home 100 pounds lighter, in a wheelchair, with both a permanent ostomy pouch & urostomy pouch and multiple wounds that would require daily care from a professional for at least another month. (could be longer, pending healing process)

Due to the time he spent in the hospital and the recovery time that he still has ahead of him, he lost his place of residence and transportation. He now temporarily lives with my older brother, who is also his current caretaker.

This situation has been very emotionally, physically, and financially overwhelming.
With limited resources and financial support, we hope to alleviate some of the stress that comes with cancer.

My dad, Antonio, is eager to recover and enjoy his second chance at life.
He is determined and ready to fight and move forward.

We are grateful for your donations and prayers.
Thank you all for being so kind and generous.

PS: Please pray specifically for no more setbacks or complications.
