Helping the Colon Family
Donation protected
The Colon Family was struck by tragedy this past Wednesday, December 7th. Ivette Colon's world was torn apart when her 19-year-old son was killed by a hit and run in Bridgeport, CT. Ismael Colon (everyone called him Antonio), was on his way to work when his precious life was abruptly taken away from him and his family.
Antonio was a kind, hardworking, and bright boy. He graduated from Bullard-Havens Technical High School and had dreams of becoming a chef. He had a real passion for cooking and often prepared meals at home for his family. He had a love for learning and always sought out new adventures. Antonio had a wonderful sense of humor and had a knack for making everyone giggle. He loved game time with his family, especially playing board games, chess, monopoly, and cards. Antonio was and is still loved by many and will be missed dearly.
I have known Antonio's sweet mother, Ivette for many years. Her whole family has helped care for my children. As a parent, I can't even contemplate the pain and heartache Ivette and her family are going through now. We would like to support them during this difficult time and raise money to help with funeral costs and any other needs as they try and come to terms with their tragic loss.
Antonio is survived by his mother Ivette, his father Ismael, sisters Mercedes (Menchie), Jacqueline, Emily, and brother Alejandro.
Please help this family in their time of need any way you can. It will be so appreciated.
