Antonina Cayana Urbani

After Antonina’s strong and brave struggle to fight cancer over the past 3 years, sadly, this week she lost the battle and has passed away. Antonina worked with us at St George’s for the past 17yrs. She was a dedicated nurse who cared and loved her job, right until the end she wanted to know what was happening in SGH and the “SGH family”. Nina was an amazing friend, colleague and mentor. Always smiling and would never fail to greet you in the corridor, always happy to help and go above and beyond to support you. Nina brought a positive cheer with her wherever she went, kept us all laughing with a little cheekiness and fed with food she loved to cook and share. Antonina leaves behind a devoted husband, Luca and 2 beautiful children, Angelo & Sofia. This collection is for them and the rest of her family to support them through such a difficult time. It was such an honour to have known such a beautiful soul. Rest in Peace Antonina, We will miss you forever.
