I struggle to write this request for numerous reasons. Many of you know how hard this is for us because, we don’t like asking for help. However, at this time we are in need of your support and help. My mom has a heart of gold and loves to help others. She demonstrates this by giving to those in need, volunteering and while she worked at Minneapolis Public Schools, as well as, at Eastside Neighborhood Services.

In late 2016 she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She took on this fight with a positive attitude and was making great strides in her treatment and recovery. In the midst of her recovery she developed a cancerous brain tumor which resulted in emergency surgery for its removal. This resulted in more chemo and radiation therapy and prevented her from working, driving, and just doing normal activities. The surgery also resulted in her right hand being weak. She continues to recover, however progress has been slow as her brain and body work hard to heal.

This go fund me will be used to take care of medical and prescription expenses, and everyday expenses including rent, food and utility bills. 

Please help support my mom while she is recovering from this diagnosis. She is optomistic about her future and being able to help others when this season comes to an end and she is totally healed!
