Anthony Mallari Medical Fund

Anthony, loved by so many, suffered a life threatening disease called Necrotizing Fasciitis which has an over 40% mortality rate even with proper medical care. Anthony was admitted to the hospital on January 6 and will remain there for several more weeks. With the grace of God, many prayers and an amazing medical team, he survived.

Unfortunately this horrific disease caused by Strep A has left Anthony with an amputation, and many wounds on each of his limbs. The rehabilitation, wound care and adapting to a prosthetic will be long and present many challenges along the way. Anthony has always been 100 mph and although this has not stopped him, it will certainly slow him down. It is difficult to imagine the toll this has taken on Anthony and his family and this will continue as he rehabilitates.

Anthony is self employed in a small business. Anthony has not worked since before the holidays and will not to be able to work for quite sometime. Thankfully Anthony has medical insurance but there are other expenses. Gail and Kyle are contributing to maintaining the household and standing by the bedside daily. Their vigilance is not able to cover all the needs for Anthony's family and the lack of Anthony's income is already being felt. Kyle had to leave college and will have to move his life back home.

Anthony is very proud and does not like to take things unless it directly benefits children at the Shriners Hospital. This time Anthony is the one that needs help. If you are able, please contribute to help make and keep Anthony whole.

Thank you so much.
