As the late shift doorman at 2200 Pacific Avenue, Anthony Washington is a fixture in our community. For many of us he is the first person we see as we arrive home - always with a smile on his face. Recently, Anthony suffered a stroke that had him in the hospital for several days and will likely require physical therapy. We are raising money to help Anthony pay his insurance deductible and cover any additional expenses that are likely to arise as a result of his stroke and any missed time from work. Service workers in San Francisco barely make enough money to subsist and a high deductible for a medical emergency such as a stroke can be financially crippling.
