Join us in commemorating the life of Anthony Villasano, a senior at Synergy Quantum Academy high school, who lost his life to cancer in December 2016. Donate to the Anthony Villasano Student Athlete Scholarship Fund! Help us honor Anthony's memory by making college a reality for one of his graduating classmates.
Anthony enrolled in Synergy Charter Academy in 2nd grade and joined Synergy 's first class to go all the way from Kindergarten to high school graduation at Synergy schools. Anthony was full of humor and joy. He was always involved in sports, and joined the football team in high school. While getting checked out after a hard hit on the football field, Anthony was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Throughout his cancer treatment, he remained the same kind, funny, and positive kid he had always been. He kept up with his studies, sometimes logging into his classes virtually when chemo treatments made it impossible for him to get to school.
Our entire school community feels the loss of this bright and caring young man. Join us in sustaining Anthony's memory with a special scholarship awarded to one of his fellow classmates. All donations, large or small, are appreciated.
The Anthony Villasano Student Athlete Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Synergy Quantum Academy's Class of 2017. The scholarship recipient will be a student athlete who demonstrates excellence and perseverance both in the classroom and on the field. The scholarship will be awarded at Synergy's high school graduation ceremony in June.
