Anthony ‘Tony’ Dart’s Recovery Fund
Donation protected
My name is Mary.
Most know me simply as “Dart’s Little Sister”, all know me as My Brother’s Keeper.
On April 22nd, after a few days of stomach pains and symptoms similar to food poisoning, Tony checked himself into Holyoke Hospital in Massachusetts. After a brief triage and testing, he was categorized as critical condition and they transported him via EMS to Bay State. As of 9pm this evening (Saturday April 23rd), he has been transported yet again via LifeStar to Brigham’s in Boston.
Tony has a very serious condition where not only does his aortic valve have a leak, but he has an intense infection that potentially is in his heart itself. On top of this, he is facing an aortic aneurysm - and we are prepping for and anticipating a full open-heart surgery within the next several hours.
We don’t know how things will look on the other side of surgery - there are a list of potential complications and concerns. This isn’t going to be easy.
What we do know is that on the other side of this surgery, he has a very long road to recovery.
Tony will be out of work for quite some time.
He is facing rehab and physical therapy.
I’m creating this in the hopes of family, friends, marines, veterans, coworkers etc would consider donating $5 each to help him build a financial security blanket to assist with everyday requirements such as rent, food, dog food, car payments, phone bill, etc. until he is capable of returning back to work.
I will update this as often as I can.
I am currently very drained to process much more thought so I apologize if this sounds vague. I am trying to be proactive so he doesn’t panic when it is time to finances.
