Anthony Strong-Cancer Gone

Anthony Badalato is a 17-year-old Junior at Atlantic High School who plays Varsity Basketball.  He enjoys all kinds of sports, video games, hanging out with his girlfriend and spending time with his family.  He is a member of the National Honor Society and is currently dual enrolled at Daytona State College.

On December 1, 2020, Anthony and his family received the news no one wants to hear.  He was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer which is most commonly found in boys age 14-17.  Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma is a very aggressive cancer most often found in the late stages.  Anthony had surgery on December 14th to remove the tumor and full right lobe of his liver.  He will begin chemotherapy over the next couple of weeks followed by many appointments with his oncologist and other doctors for testing of his heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, pet scans, hearing evaluations and fertility.

We are establishing this account to assist with the rapidly mounting medical expenses needed to treat this cancer and to lesson the burden on the Badalato family.  This will allow them to focus on Anthony’s treatments.  He is being treated at Arnold Palmer Medical center in Orlando, FL so there will be a great deal of traveling involved.

Thank you for considering Anthony’s need during this very challenging time in his life.  He is a very caring, loving young man with a huge heart.  He continues to remain positive and upbeat as he battles and fights this deadly disease with amazing hopes for his future.  He has big plans and has NO intentions on letting this obstacle slow him down in life.

”God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers”
