Anthony - STRA Needs Your Help to Recover

Anthony, or STRA, for those who know him in the art world in Europe, Australia and Asia, suffered a hemorrhagic stroke to the brainstem & cerebellum on March 6, 2021. Our young street artist entrepreneur collapsed in his studio. After a long coma and an alarming diagnosis, he opened his eyes and started to move, proving the doctors wrong.

Anthony was in Portugal when he had his stroke. This video is a chronological compilation of his epic journey from he first woke up from the coma until Sept 2022, after battling pneumonia, gastric virus and c0v1d.

After 7 months in hospital at the Porto University Hospital, then 4 months with limited therapy in Rovisco Pais rehabilitation centre in Tocha, he was transferred to the continuing care unit of the Santa Casa da Misericordia in Barcelos, where he progressed against all expectations. Unfortunately, the public health service only allows him 3 months in this unit.

We need to raise funds so that Anthony, STRA can continue his rehabilitation at home from 17 May 2022. This is the breakdown of costs per month:

2000 euros/month for a 24-hour nurse

2200/month for physiotherapy/speech therapy/occupational therapy

Our fundraising target will be €26,000 to cover additional fees, as well as reserve funds in case he needs further therapy in the future.

Anthony has tremendous energy and drive to make a success of his recovery and CONSISTENCY IS KEY to his recovery. So please help this warrior to recover! Every little bit helps!
