Anthony recover from Cardiac Arrest & Heart Attack
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Ciella, cousin (but might as well be sister to Annie Pedevillano) and I am starting this fundraiser to help the Pedevillano family.
On Aug 21st, Anthony suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was unresponsive in their driveway, in front of three of his four children on the morning of the first day of school. It also happened to be on his daughter Bella's 14th birthday. His oldest son, Logan had just shipped out to bootcamp to pursue his dreams of becoming a Navy Seal. Miraculously, he survived against all the odds, by the grace of God and some very timely continuous and quality CPR by Annie and their neighbor before paramedics and the La Verne fire department showed. Anthony coded four times before suffering another Cardiac arrest followed by three heart attacks and a mini stroke.
He spent a week in the cardiac ICU, where he was intubated, and has now transitioned to an acute rehab facility where he is learning how to walk with limited leg mobility and paralysis in the toes, working on his speech and talking, his memory recall, and to overall, improve his quality of life. Furthermore, he is also learning to navigate his world as someone with blindness as a result of oxygen loss.
I am fundraising for this incredible family who means so much to so many people and who are always so incredibly generous. The goal is to lighten the financial burden of day-to-day life, help pay for the enormous amount of medical bills that are headed their way, help pay for the round-the-clock care that Anthony needs now as he transitions home and allow Annie to take the time off from work that she needs to spend with Anthony during this critical time in his recovery. These moments together are more precious than ever.
Annie and Anthony know that life is short, but sweet for certain and that together, they can do anything. They have a long road ahead, but with the support and love of friends and family, I know that they will come out the other side stronger than ever.
