Greetings All,
On behalf of the Popescu family, we have created a fundraising campaign for Anthony Popescu. Anthony is a 19 year old Muhlenberg High School Graduate currently attending Shippensburg University and pursuing a degree in finance. On June 3rd, Anthony was trying to help his grandparents move a tree that had fallen onto their home after a storm. Unfortunately while he was trying to assist them, a tragic accident occurred, resulting in Anthony being struck by the tree. He sustained many injuries, including; fractured cheek bones, a broken upper and lower jaw, severe brain damage (leaving him with a concussion), minimal internal bleeding, and nerve damage to the right side of his body. By the wonderful grace of God, Anthony has been able to regain strength and movement in his right side after several days of rest, dedication and rehabilitation. As far as the damage to his facial structure, Anthony has undergone several surgeries to repair his jaw and cheek bones. Anthony is currently excelling in speech and is able to eat on his own. We are all very proud of him and would like to support him as best we can, however; the procedures in order to get Anthony back into his best shape were very costly. His grandparents work very hard to maintain their regular bills at home, and his friends can only do so much to financially support him. Today we are asking that you help the Popescu family cover costs for Anthony’s medical bills in this truly unforeseeable time. Any and all donations during this time are greatly appreciated.
