On November 30, 2024, during a trip home to Miami, our friend Anthony Plana was involved in a near-fatal motorcycle accident. He was in a coma for three days, suffered from a brain bleed, as well as multiple shattered and broken bones. Anthony has a long road of recovery ahead of him.

Anyone who has ever met Anthony immediately recognizes his passion for life and living every moment to the fullest. He has not lost that spirit and is working hard both physically and mentally to recover 100%.

Anthony has a while before he will be able to return to work and school but still aims to stay on course for graduation from the College of Engineering at FSU. A lot of his motivation to heal comes from his passion for learning and not wanting to let his Bright Futures Scholarship as well as two grants lapse. Donations will go straight to Anthony to help cover medical expenses as well as living costs, while he is not able to work on his road to recovery.
