Anthony Nolan: 3 Lakes, 12 Hours, Countless Lives. Donate..
Jack, Michelle, Annie, Katie, Marina, and Zoe are taking on the 3 Lake Canoe Challenge in the Lake District on 31st May-canoeing the lengths of Windermere, Ullswater, and Coniston, covering nearly 23 miles, all within 12 hours.
Jack has been part of the Anthony Nolan register for 3 years, hoping to be called as a match.
Michelle’s best friend’s son was diagnosed with leukaemia at just 12 years old and luckily found a donor from Germany! It can be so vital to find a potential donor quickly.
Finding a matching stem cell donor can be incredibly tough. There are millions of possible tissue type combinations, so the more people who join the register, the better the chance for someone in need to find their lifesaving match. Men under 30 are especially important-while they make up only a small part of the register, they provide over half of all donations and are often the best matches for patients. If you join, you can stay on the register until your 61st birthday, which means you could help save a life for decades.
Anthony Nolan saves and improves the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders by:
Connecting patients with incredible strangers willing to donate their stem cells
Funding ground-breaking research to transform the future for more patients
Providing the best experience for every patient before, during, and after transplant
Every donation, big or small, helps Anthony Nolan continue their lifesaving work. Your support means so much to us and to the families who rely on Anthony Nolan’s register. Please help us make a difference-donate if you can, and share our challenge!
Thank you for your generosity and encouragement!
