Anthony Knaus Family

The Knaus family is going through some rough times right now. Anthony was admitted to the ICU with a perforated bowel. He had surgery on December 4th to remove the infected part of the bowel along with a lot of dead and infected tissue, and has been in the hospital since. We were hoping he would be able to leave the hospital in time for Christmas, but are unsure at this point as his white blood cell count has continued to go up even after heavy doses of antibiotics. Anthony is in quite a bit of pain, due to the infection, but is in good spirits. This will be a long road to recovery as the surgeon was forced to give Anthony a temporary ileostomy. The hope is that they will be able to reverse the ileostomy in 3 months, but it will depend on future scans.  Needless to say, he will be out of work for an extended period of time. I am asking for any help possible to assist Anthony, his wife Lisa and their 2 daughters Emma and Allyson with finances that will go toward medical bills, rent, groceries, gas money and other essentials.  They have acquired a substantial amount of medical bills with Emma's continued recovery from a tumor that has recently changed in size and requires added trips from San Antonio to MD  Anderson in Houston (a 3 hour drive) for further monitoring in addition to Anthony's set back.
