Hi all,
For those of you who don't know me my name is Anthony Dicriscio and I am a boarding student at Upper Canada College in Toronto. I would consider myself to be an energetic, ambitious and very passionate teenager who is looking for the opportunity to inspire others and to make an impact in people's lives.
The reason behind why I am sending this letter out today is to inform people of the fundraiser that I have organized scheduled to start on April 2nd, 2021 @5:00am called the 4x4x48 inspired by David Goggins. The objective is to run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. My incentive for this challenge comes about my willingness to push past my comfort zone and to help those who need it.
This event was initially arranged to occur on March 5th but due to march break being postponed in Ontario by COVID-19 travel restrictions I was unable to travel back to Montreal in time for the event, inevitably forcing me to reschedule it to April. Due to the ongoing curfew restrictions that are still implemented in Montreal, all runs scheduled during curfew will be compensated by performing a 1 hour workout on the elliptical machine.
I have chosen the Canadian Cancer Society to be the recipient of all the funds collected from the fundraiser. The rationale behind choosing this foundation was to make it as personal and meaningful as possible. All of us have been touched by cancer in some way. Many loved ones of mine have been affected by cancer such as my brother who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer at 18 months old. It is now our time to give back and to support others.
Every donation counts, every donation can and will make a difference in someone’s life. I encourage you all to make an effort to contribute any amount you are comfortable with. All donations will be transferred directly to the Canadian Cancer Society foundation through this GoFundMe page or you can contact me personally for other ways of transaction. Help me in the fight against cancer!
