In June, I completed the London to Paris cycle ride – an incredible multi-day challenge that tested me both physically and mentally. Now, on the 7th September, I’m taking on my next big challenge: the inaugural Tour de 4, a brand new cycling event founded by Sir Chris Hoy, aiming to raise £1 million for cancer charities across the UK.
I’ve signed up for the Red Route – the toughest route. Starting and finishing at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow, the 90 km / 56 mile route takes riders through the stunning Campsie Fells and up the infamous climb known as “The Tak” – a brutal ascent rising 270 metres in just under 5km. It is going to be a serious challenge.
I’m proud to be riding in support of this amazing cause, and I’d be incredibly grateful for any donations to help me reach my fundraising goal.
Route Overview
- Distance: 90km / 56 miles
- Total Elevation Gain: 1,000m / 3,770ft
- Main Climb: “The Tak” – sharp, steep and relentless
- Expected Terrain: Urban roads, rolling countryside, tough climbs, fast technical descents
