Over the last couple of years, the world's moved in unexpected ways. But for trumpeter Anthony Coleman, the stars have finally aligned.
Coleman's been approached to be the face of a new New York label. The pandemic afforded him time to put 60 original songs to paper, create arrangements for 40 others, and tap some friends to record with.
The goal is to record one hundred songs in a month.
For those of you who don’t know Ant (he'd never tell you) he’s won a Grammy and has recorded on two Platinum albums. He's been playing music since he was seven, starting on piano and then trumpet. He won full scholarships first to the Dave Brubeck Institute in California, then the New School in New York and The University of New Orleans for his Masters Degree. He currently lives and plays in New Orleans, as well as New York and California.
It's a great opportunity with one missing piece—funding. This GoFundMe page is for the estimated $18,650 to pay for the recording studio, audio engineer, session musicians, mixing, mastering, publishing, merchandising, distribution and marketing. Anything extra will go to flights, lodging, and food for the team. Thank you for your consideration, support, time and donations.
