Anthony "Tony" Celender,
age 72, of Freedom, passed
away peacefully at home on
Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Following Tony's valiant fight against a prolonged illness that has prevented him from working, his illness has now left significant medical and home health care expenses not covered by insurance, placing a substantial burden on his wife. I am setting up this GoFundMe to rally together and support Elan in overcoming this challenging situation and alleviating her outstanding debt.
He was born on March 29, 1953, in Pittsburgh.
Tony was a man known for his vibrant personality and his love of conversation. He was a natural talker, and those who knew him well could often hear his enthusiastic voice carrying through the phone, especially when he was excited about something. A passionate football fan, Tony's loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers was unwavering. A successful entrepreneur with a drive for innovation, Tony established and ran several businesses before embarking on a significant chapter of his career at American Expediting in 2009. His sharp intellect and dedication led to his advancement to the position of Regional Project Manager on the East Coast. Tony was a recognized expert in both the ever-evolving Information & Technology field and the complex world of Logistics. He was always eager to explore new technological advancements and find ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness within his role at American Expediting.
Tony will be deeply missed by his loving wife, E. Elan Celender.
A memorial service to celebrate Tony's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, located at 130 Wisconsin Ave, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066. Instead of flowers, donations would be more helpful to support all the medical and memorial services.
