You may have seen the news on Inside Edition : 29-year old Anthony Capuano, a lifeguard and swim instructor with British Swim School, saves a man after his car plunged into Newark Bay.
Fortunately for the victim - who didn't know how to swim - Anthony's quick action saved his life. What makes this even more amazing is that Anthony only has one leg, having lost the other to an accident over 10 years ago.
But prosthetic legs need to be replaced from time to time, and Anthony is in desperate need of a new leg - and doesn't have the insurance to cover a new one.
That's why his swim family at British Swim School is launching this fundraiser on Anthony's behalf: as a thank you for his selfless act of heroism and to provide those who want to help a means of doing so.
