Anthony, at 22 years old passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2020. His autopsy report revealed that Anthony had an underlying rare Genetic Connective Tissue Disorder, Vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (VEDS). Vascular EDS can cause fragile blood vessels and hollow organs to rupture. Anthony suffered from a subclavian artery rupture which eventually lead to his death.
For those that knew Anthony, he lived life…. To the fullest!! He did more in 22 years than most people do who live well into their golden years. Anthony grew up outside of Pittsburgh, PA as an only child to his loving parents, Kim and Jan. He was always full of life and made everyone laugh even in his young years. Anthony was a champion swimmer and excelled in academics. He worked for years providing care and support to disabled persons at McGuire Memorial. His hard work in academics and service, and his compassion for others, helped him reach his goal in being accepted at Duquesne University's Physician Assistant Program.
He shined in many ways during his time at Duquesne. Anthony made an impact on every soul he encountered. He was always laughing, cracking jokes, and making people roar. His goofy sense of humor made you rethink taking life too seriously. He was kind, generous, and fiercely loyal to those closest to him. He was the life of the party and never turned down a good time. He loved to travel and even spent a semester studying in Rome, Italy. Anthony loved spending time with his family at home on the weekends and often invited friends into his family. Anthony knew how to make others feel loved and worthy. He would have been an incredibly special PA and impacted more lives than he could imagine. While we mourn his absence, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived.
Embarking on the road of healing is so very difficult, but greatly helps in knowing we have the support of family and friends. We are so pleased to be able to carry on Anthony’s Legacy and his relationship with Duquesne University by having the first annual Golf Outing to benefit students in the Physician’s Assistant Program at Duquesne University. The outing will be held at Shadow Lakes Country Club in Aliquippa, PA on June 27, 2021.
100% of the donations to this page in Anthony's memory will go towards his scholarship fund to help future PA students achieve their dreams. If you cannot attend the golf outing, or wish to make a further contribution in his honor, please consider donating.
Thank you!
We love you, Ant.
