Anthony Bautista Needs a Kidney Transplant!
Donation protected
Anthony Alejandro Bautista was born in El Salvador on October 15th, 1987, and raised in the heart of North Omaha, Nebraska. He is one of many people in America who is affected by kidney failure, medically known as End-Stage Renal Failure (ESRF). Many lives in today’s world are impacted by various organ failures. In the U.S. alone, about 750,000 people are affected by kidney failure each year according to a U.S. Renal Data System report¹. Much of the population with this condition is common among low-income communities.
Anthony is 35 years old and deserves to live his life to the fullest. He deserves a second chance to do anything he aspires to accomplish. He is currently facing a multitude of hardships at the moment which involves him missing work due to attending his current nephrology and renal appointments, and being inundated with medical bills that his insurance is unable to cover on top of feeling mentally, emotionally, and physically drained while navigating this disease alone. All of this has brought me to realize that I can’t do this alone, my family can’t do this alone, and he can’t do this alone. This is where you guys, the community, will come in. We need as much support as we can get so that Anthony can live the happy and healthy life that he finally deserves.
Caring for those with kidney disease is financially strenuous. Not only will we be raising funds to help supplement the cost of his transplant surgery and aftercare, but this will also help Anthony see and feel the love and support that he never knew he had all along. Community support will also help him heal emotionally so he no longer feels alone during this difficult time of his life. Having a disease like Kidney Failure can make people feel alone and isolated in every aspect of their life. He is feeling an insurmountable amount of pressure of balancing a normal life on top of taking care of himself to ensure that he has the proper treatments to go about his day. His routines have become more stressful to do on his own because of how much physical pain he feels. Currently, his kidney is functioning at less than 15 percent, which only gives him a matter of time before it expires.
Time is key here. We may or may not have as much time as we may think, but that shouldn’t make us feel powerless. Once the money is raised to pay for his transplant surgeries and aftercare recovery/appointments, he will finally be able to live his life as he truly deserves to. Raising money for this fundraiser will keep him healthy post-surgery and FINALLY give him a fresh start to pursue his multi-layered passions.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any amount, whether it be big or small, will help this campaign go a long way.
