Anthony Annihilates Cancer

On November 18th, Anthony Wood was rushed to the ER dealing with severe and crippling pain in his leg. The doctor’s discovered a fracture and immediately ordered further testing. Upon testing, his loved ones were told,”It’s cancer and it’s bad”.

In an instant, life as he and his family knew it had changed. He was handed a diagnosis of Sarcoma, though the type is still uncertain, and taken into surgery to remove the cancer from his body. His family is thrilled to report that the Sarcoma appears to be isolated and doctors got all of it, except for a few microscopic particles that chemo or radiation will target.

Anthony is a man who wears many hats. He is a doting husband, a loving father, an amazing grandfather, a cherished friend, a reliable coworker and so much more to so many people. He is also loved far beyond what words could ever express. It goes without saying that he will be out of work for a while. The type of surgery that was required to remove the cancer comes with many questions. It is still uncertain to what degree he will be able to recover and if he will be able to fully resume normal activity. The most important thing Anthony can do right now is recover and stay as strong as he can during treatment. He is facing a long road ahead, and his wife and family will be there for him every step of the way.

Anthony’s wife Aura and his children will be tasked with supporting him during this journey. All of the funds raised here will go directly to bills and expenses incurred while he is facing recovery and treatment.
