Anthony “Andy” Remmen passing and family support

Donation protected
I write this on behalf of my good friend Nicole Remmen in hopes of helping with financial hardship. She woke up to the unimaginable on March 21, 2024—the day that changed not only her life but also the life of their son Anthony. This was the day their son was going to grow up without a father, and a wife left to navigate life without her best friend. On March 20, 2024, Anthony (Andy) Remmen was given his wings and summoned home, where he is now free from his own pain and sorrow. Rather than crying or feeling sad, Andy would want us to remember the person he was during his time here on earth.

Anthony James Remmen was born on October 6, 1987, in St. Paul, MN. He grew up in Scandia, MN, where he was raised by his parents, Judith and Russell Remmen. He knew how to keep them on their toes as a child, from performing a stunt off a retaining wall that led him into a full-body cast at the age of 4 years old to being the class clown in high school, making everyone smile. Andy enjoyed working with his hands, building things, working on cars, and running with the boys (Wes Giddings, Ty Lichtscheidl, Mike Malmquist, Matt Malmquist, Micah Boerem, Dylan Irlbeck ). He met his now wife Nicole Remmen (Nicole Bailey) in 2014 through mutual friends, where they spent their time getting to know each other at friend get-togethers and bonfires, where she confessed her love for the outdoors and big trucks. Andy totally digged it because he loved anything outdoors, whether it was bonfires, going for a walk, hanging out at a lake, camping, or working in the garage. Nicole and Andy welcomed their son into the world on February 26, 2019. Andy loved nothing more than being a dad; he passed his love for cars onto his son. They would often sit downstairs for hours, building RC cars together and finding fun trails to test them out on. Nicole and Andy finally tied the knot on November 5, 2022. There was no denying their love for each other. They built a beautiful family, home, and life together throughout the years. While Andy’s time here on earth was short, he was able to experience life, and that’s what is most important.

So please, friends and family. Let’s come together and help the Remmen family get through such an unexpected and tragic time. Nicole is not the type of person to ask for help, but she needs our support. Your donation will help with funeral expenses and time off work. I also want to thank each and every one of you in advance for taking the time to read this, the kind words, and the thoughtfulness. Let’s show this family support! Thank you!

Funeral service 11 AM Saturday, March 30th with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. Interment at Elim Cemetery, Scandia. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Andy’s family.
