Hi Everyone,
Those that know our family’s story can imagine how challenging the past year and a half or so has been, and as you can probably assume, it is a very expensive process to go through cancer as well as our Mom’s new medical challenge. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and will be going straight to them to help with medical and living expenses. All of the details are below.
Anthony’s health journey: Most of you know Anthony has been dealing with cancer for quite sometime now. It started with tumor in his leg, diagnosed as Rhabdomyosarcoma.
He spent 6 months doing Integrative Naturalpathic Therapy from Aug 2022-Feb. 2023.
Then March 2023 he had the tumor removed & had plastic surgery to fix the area.
Sept 2023, the cancer came back in same leg at which time he decided on a below the knee amputation of the leg. He was able to get a prosthetic leg about two months ago and has been learning to walk with this new adjustment.
In December 2023, scans showed that the cancer spread into his lungs & bones. At this point, the doctors only recommendation was Chemotherapy. In January 2024, he tried a heavy dose of chemo. It was terrible for him and he spent close to a week in the emergency room after getting an infection along with the side effects from the chemo.
Anthony decided that whatever days God has for him on this earth… he would rather spend it with family & friends & not sick on chemo.
Alisa’s health Journey: Alisa’s health issue began June 2023, when she started losing vision in one eye. She spent time over the next few months meeting with doctors and trying to get a proper diagnosis. In November, with her vision getting worse, she decided to get a MRI done. The results of the MRI showed a benign Meningioma tumor on her left occipital lobe in her brain.
She met with a neurosurgeon PA that basically said her vision issue is unrelated to the tumor, and to check in about 6 months to see if the tumor has grown.
Over the last few months, she was able to meet with a few other doctors for “second opinions” and was finally told that resection (remove tumor) was the best option to prevent further risk. After much prayer, she has decided to go to Stanford hospital in California and the surgery will be done on Monday February 23rd.
Thank you all for your support, prayers, and financial assistance, the entire family is extremely grateful.
Sincerely,
The Kids
