Antarctica Education Experience

I have been selected as one of 77 female scientist on the maiden Homeward Bound voyage to travel to the end of the world! It is a life long dream of mine to go to Antarctica. Now I get to go!

I will take part in a exciting leadership program, discover Antarctic ecosystems and expand my knowledge climate change in the most fragile of landscapes: ANTARCTICA.

As an educator I will write and create education material  on Anatartic ecosystems and climate change... I'm already writing for Cool Australia  (I know, its cool isn't it, another dream of mine, crossed off the list) and maybe.... just maybe write a childrens book (aaaahhh too many dreams at once).

But I need your help, I will use the funds for specialist recording equipment (a go-pro- HERO 4), a bigger camera lense (to take in all of those burgs, close ups of the penguins), warm weather gear (to stop me from freezing) and to help link back to my school (in little Port Fairy).

I cannot tell  you how excited I am about this opportunity. But I want to turn this into an education extravaganza! Capturing and recording the experience! So I can share it and turn the experience into wonderful wonderfilled educational resources that I can share with the world.

Help me get connected, capture imaginations and share knowledge with everyone!! Each week I look out at a sea of over 300 children that I teach. Each week I talk about the earth, how precious and careful we must be. We need to create postive climate futures and for me the journey starts here.....

I will be so so thankful, I will write, I will share and I will engage our future generations.... just you wait and see...
