Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Supporters:
Hi, I’m Morgan—mom to a brave and brilliant 6-year-old named Alex. He’s wild about baseball, absolutely obsessed with all things Jurassic Park, and can often be found building entire cities out of his beloved Bruder trucks. He’s got a laugh that lights up a room, and a heart that’s way bigger than his tiny frame.
But behind his sweet smile is a health journey no child should have to face.
For years, we knew something wasn’t right. Strange illnesses, constant infections, unexplained symptoms—we bounced from doctor to doctor, chasing answers that always seemed just out of reach. There were too many appointments to count, across six different hospitals and specialty clinics. Alex has undergone 12 surgeries and medical procedures before we finally got the diagnosis:
hypogammaglobulinemia—a rare and complex immune deficiency.
In simple terms, Alex’s immune system doesn’t work properly. His body doesn’t make the antibodies needed to fight off infections, so common colds can spiral into ER visits, hospital stays, or worse. Every day is a balancing act of protecting him while trying to give him the childhood he deserves.
This diagnosis is lifelong.
It means regular IVIG and Iron infusions, an established care team of doctors, specialists, nurses, therapists, and pharmacists working together in a collaborative flow of MyChart messages just to keep him stable.
It’s not only emotionally draining—it’s financially devastating.
Despite it all, Alex continues to show up for life with fierce courage and a bit of dino-roaring determination. And our family is doing our best to stay strong right alongside him.
But the truth is: we need help.
We’ve launched this campaign to raise support for Alex’s ongoing medical needs and help our family recover from the financial strain of this long, winding road. Your gift—no matter how big or small—helps us keep him safe, gives us a moment to breathe, and reminds us that we’re not in this alone.
From our hearts to yours: Thank YOU for showing up for Alex.
Thank you for believing in his fight—and in our family’s strength. You’re helping us fuel the road ahead, one act of kindness at a time.
With deep gratitude,
Morgan & Family
