Marie and Kevin Schmidt received the devastating news that their precious baby girl Ansleigh Grayson, expected to deliver in May, has tested positive for Trisomy 18 and hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Babies diagnosed with Trisomy 18 are not expected to live a year. Many do not live long enough to leave the hospital after birth. There are no words to describe how devastating this has been for them and their entire family. Marie and Kevin have been blessed with two incredible boys, Hampton and Jacob, as well as Ansleigh Grayson.

Marie and Kevin have relied heavily on their faith so they can be strong for their boys. While praying for a miracle, they are also trying to prepare for the unknown. Unsure of what the days ahead hold for this precious family, we are creating a fund to help Marie and Kevin through this time. Given the incredible amount of stress and demands this disease lays upon the family, we are hoping to cover increased medical expenses, housekeeping help, and activities to maintain some sense of normalcy (like summer camps) for the boys during this time.

We pray this help will allow the family to focus on their time with baby Ansleigh Grayson. Marie and Kevin have impacted many through their service to others over the years. They have not asked for help, yet I know these next couple of months they could really use it. First and foremost, we ask for your prayers.
