Support Nara's O Visa

My name is Nara Roberta and I am asking you to support my O-1A visa application. This visa will enable me to stay legally in the U.S. so I can continue my studies and work on projects promoting opportunities for other Brazilians and international students in education.
Given my working-class background, my studies have always relied on scholarships, grants, and awards. I am only a few months away from finishing my Ph.D. in Sociology, having already spent years investigating social movements in the U.S. Through this work, I hope to connect the scholarship in Brazil and the U.S. As I continue my investigation of social movements in these two countries, I also aim to develop a project to address some challenges faced by international students and young scholars in American universities. I expect to improve collaboration between academics from different countries and break down the traditional borders in knowledge production, giving young students the opportunity to thrive as was done for me in the past.
While I already have the assistance of the Brazilian Foundation, a non-profit that works with Brazilian nationals and individuals with Brazilian heritage, this organization is small and relies mainly on volunteer efforts. Unfortunately, they lack the monetary resources to support my visa application. This is why I am turning to you, my friends, comrades, and colleagues, to raise the money to hire a respected immigration lawyer as well as pay other fees required by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to support my new visa.
I am working with a very tight time frame and so need to raise the necessary amount of money by June if I want to file my request on time.
