Hello, this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. In the past I have done it on my own. I came up with plans and stuck to it. This time I won't be able to do it alone. I need your support. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in January this year. This is a major hiccup because it effects so many others besides myself. Currently, I am enrolled in a Trichology and a Nutrition programs. The goal is to use all my trainings and experience to create different pathways of wellness. I have a beauty studio in Hyattsville, MD where I provide healthy hair care and makeovers to improve one's outlook on their visual appearance. In conjunction, I have been giving free Zumba classes for my community for almost 3 years. We have done over 300 classes and have had over 1000 people attend. We also give health tips and encouraging messages to inspire them to continue great health choices outside of their coming to class. So many of them have seen major changes in their weight and also in the mindset of living a healthier lifestyle because of our family environment. My Mom, Boyfriend, and another lady from our classes have gone to get Zumba certified to help keep the movement going while I recover. My area Ward 7 is one of the highest areas with a large population of unhealthy individuals and so we are inspiring many to want more and do better. The Funds I am requesting are to help me pay for my medical care expences. My insurance does not cover most of the expense. Being self employed means no work-no money . So the money will also help sustain my business, school fees and personal expenses while recovering from treatment plan. I appreciate your time and I thank you in advance for helping me and my family.
