My name Chris and I am 34 years old and I have spastic cerebral palsy; I have been wheelchair-bound since I was three years old.I am asking for help to purchase a new custom-made manual wheelchair. The reason I need it to be made custom; and not a hospital standard wheelchair; is my condition is gradually getting worse and I need more support than I did before. If I am not careful with the correct padding and cushion I can easily get a pressure sore. I have had my current wheelchair for 21 years, and as you can see in the photo it is falling apart and unable to be repaired at this point. My insurance has denied my claim for a new wheelchair.I feel that my wheelchair  is unsafe and will fall apart very soon. I like to go out and be as active as possible, But my current wheelchair is another obstacle I want to overcome.
