Hello.
My name is An LeFevre. I am the owner/photographer of AnOriginal Photography based in Cohasset, MA. Like most small businesses around the country, my small business has been greatly impacted negatively by the Covid-19 shutdown.
Instead of focusing on how much this has affected my business, I want to remain positive and optimistic that we will get out of this stronger and more united.
With that mindset, I have joined #TheFrontStepsProject movement.
Many thanks to Cara Soulia, founder of the #TheFrontStepsProject ... #TheFrontStepsProject aims to bring communities together (virtually and absolutely with strict social distancing!) in a time when we are isolated. The intention in creating #TheFrontStepsProject is not to generate income, but rather to unite communities.
This project has united photographers around the country to document families on their front steps, as we practice safe social distancing. In return for these sessions, families are asked to donate to the cause(s) chosen by their photographer.
I am choosing the #SmallBusinessRelief effort to maximize your donations.
There are three (3) ways you can donate which benefits #SmallBusinessRelief:
1. You can make your donations to this page where all donations will be equally divided between those South Shore towns and businesses featured by this effort.
Funds raised through this GoFundMe page will be distributed as part of the #SmallBusinessRelief effort where there is a $500 matching grant if that business has raised at least $500.
2. You are welcome to make a #GoodFaith donation directly to your chosen local small business on your own. Here is a link to start with my hometown of Cohasset, MA in 02025 zip code. Please be sure to credit @AnOriginalPhotography #TheFrontStepsProject @CaraSouliaPhoto.

1. How does this work?
Organize friends and neighbors in the same area/neighborhood, and get in touch to make arrangements. The entire shoot lasts about 3-5 minutes
- On the day of, I will just show up at your pre-determined date/time.
- Just step outside, where I will be standing to maintain a safe, social distance
- I will take a couple quick shots and leave.
- I physically interact with no one, and touch nothing, during these sessions.
2. What to Wear?
This is not a typical get-dressed-up-and-pose-for-the-photographer session. Just be you!
- Want to stand outside in your pajamas and slippers? Sounds good.
- Kids in mismatched clothes but you’re thrilled they got dressed? Fantastic.
- All pets, big and small, are welcomed! They're family too!
-Wear what you want commemorate the hope in these unprecedented times.
3. Please Spread the Word?
After your quick session...
- I will contact you via text or email when your pictures are ready.
- Please download for your personal use, as well as post your images to spread the word locally.
- The more you share, the faster the word will spread in your community.
- I will be posting these images Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #thefrontstepsproject.
4. I will shoot anywhere between 4-10 homes in these South Shore towns.
If your town is not listed, please still get in touch. If there enough of a demand, I can try to make it out there:
- Cohasset
- Scituate
- Hingham
- Norwell
- Weymouth
- Duxbury
