The music of Nightwish has touched millions of people around the world and formed a community of fans known as the Nightwish Nation. On YouTube, many fans gather on each video where someone is witnessing Nightwish music for the first time - as the band and its powerful music have touched so many lives that it has connected us all in some way. Watching someone react to the band for the first time also helps us re-live our first encounter as well, which just goes to show how music is an ephemeral part of the human condition.
The comment section in every video is where fans gather to welcome the new fan and share in the band's story and also provide insight and suggestions for other songs to listen to. There is one fan among us that has dedicated much of her time and heart into welcoming others into the Nightwish family. That person is none other than Ann Waychoff (Way-KOFF). Her comments are always kind hearted and welcoming and she has a heart of gold as well as one of Nightwish's biggest fans among us.
Ann is usually among the first to comment on any video relating to Nightwish reactions, but lately the entire community has taken notice of Ann's sudden and unusual absence from the community. After a few days of wondering, we have learned her absence is due to some serious health issues that caused her to have to be rushed to the hospital.
In the US, medical expenses can be astronimically high just from a single day in hospital. Because Ann has touched so many of us with her kind words, the Nightwish family wants to do our part in helping bring her back to good health and give her back the ability to continue joining us in sharing the wonderful music of Nightwish.
The goal is $5,000 but anything we can do to assist her would be wonderful. The funds raised will be dispensed to Ann or her family as soon as possible to assist in any medical expenses she may have incurred. Our hope is for Ann to be able to focus on being happy and healthy again, rather than worrying about medical costs -- so every little bit helps. Even if you can only donate $1, it would be greatly appreciated.
