I created this site (www.sportsbabble.co.uk) to support football fans and provide a replacement chat forum when the BBC decided to close its service called 606.

I run it free of charge and love chatting myself (a WBA fan).

But now I am retired I can’t afford the monthly server fees that are required to ensure security and availability.

If I can’t find a new owner to pass it onto (one option I’d happily consider), then I need to be able to cover the costs.

I don’t want to let the users (fans) down as it’s a great community and they are happily using the platform.

One year respite from the costs would be great but this is an annual dilemma, until I can find someone I can trust to take it on and ensure its future.
