Hi everyone, as most of you know and for those who don't on the morning of May 21st our Mom Ann Horvath-Costello suffered a unexpected large ruptured intracranial aneurysm while golfing with friends. She was immediately life-flighted to St. Vincent Toledo Medical Hospital where she underwent two life saving surgeries & they still weren’t sure she was going to make it. She then spent 3 weeks in the neurological ICU and is now in Intensive Inpatient Therapy for an undetermined amount of time. Therapy has been extremely challenging for her as she is; unable to talk, swallow, or move the whole right side of her body. The doctors are unsure how much of these things will return even with extensive therapy, but she’s working incredibly hard everyday and showing major improvements.
Her recovery thus far has been nothing short of miraculous. Rest assured, she is now smiling, making us laugh with her crazy facial expressions and spending plenty of time outside the hospital in the sun with friends & family.
So many people have reached out to ask how they can be of help, and up until now, we hadn’t been quite sure. In the coming weeks we will have a much better view of what’s next for her and for the foreseeable future she will not be able to return to work. We are hopeful she will be able to return home in the coming months and that could require some medical help at home. These contributions will help fill the gap while she’s unable to work & help with some uncovered medical expenses.
Thank you to everyone for your kind words of love and support. They mean the world to us & our mom.
