Serving Christ in Ecuador - 2nd Semester

Hey everyone!!!

My name is AnnRichard Maloney, and I am a senior at Greenville Senior High School. Jesus has blessed me with a passion for serving in the mission field. Second semester of last year I began to hear the Lord speaking into my life, calling me to pursue long-term mission work. God has opened the door for me to serve in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The organization I am going through is called Youth With A Mission, and they have been a well-established program for over 50 years! Their goal for students is to "Go for God. Join a global movement full of young people driven by a passion to know God and make Him known." The Lord has been so faithful in allowing me to pursue this dream, and I couldn't be more excited and nervous! I will be departing January 12th, and returning June 8th. The first 2 months will be discipleship school, preparing my heart to share the gospel and be the hands and feet of Jesus. The next 3 months will be spent in outreach, providing water filters, and sharing the Good News. Their program is called Aqua Viva, meaning Living Water - in hopes that as disciples we fill our cups daily with the living water so that it overflows into the lives of these Ecuadorians, our brothers and sisters in Christ!!!! The verse that I have been clinging onto during this season is Matthew 17:20, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” This verse is so rich because this is my story. This used to be a joke that I would tell my friends, I want to graduate early, leave everything, go serve in Ecuador, with people I’ve never met, and stay for 5 months. But my faith has been steadfast, and the Lord has been good. I am only a vessel to the ways he is working, no glory is for me, but all for Jesus. He is moving in my life, in ways that I had never imagined were possible. Thank you for spending time reading my story, and I can’t wait to share this journey with y’all!!!
