She's a mother, a daughter, a sister and lucky for us -- our beautiful friend.
In 2003, Ann Marie was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent double mastectomy and chemo. She fought long and hard and by the grace of God (combined with an unbelievable positive attitude) was cleared of cancer. Without missing a beat, she picked herself up by the bootstraps and fearlessly moved forward with her life. She continued to run her successful modeling agency, hugged her children tighter every single day, cherished her many friends, and remained deeply involved in her community--raising awareness and thousands of dollars for many important causes, including cancer.
Unfortunately, in May of 2013, her cancer returned, metatisized in her bones. It was determined she was at Stage 4. However, she didn't let the diagnosis stop her. Although she spent the next four years in treatment, her positive spirit and determination to beat the odds never waivered. She happily continued her busy life, which included motivational speaking on her favorite topic: "Live Like You're Living."
Early in 2017, the cancer came back in her abdomen, creating the need for more chemotherapy. She must now climb the biggest mountain she's faced yet.
This is where we come in as her friends, her family, her colleagues---anyone and everyone who has been touched by Ann Marie--directly or indirectly. All she has ever done is GIVE to others in so many ways. It's our turn to give to HER and for her to receive our outpouring of love and support, even if she's uncomfortable accepting it.
As she begins her trek up this huge mountain, we must provide her not only our emotional support and prayers, but our financial assistance as well, so that she can focus on the difficult climb ahead of her. She needs to take this journey without the burden of HUGE medical and other expenses along the way.
Ann Marie is a gift to her family, her many friends, her community and the world. No matter how big or small your donation is, please know that it will be a gift that will tremendously help an amazing, beautiful, caring person who is a true blessing to us all.
Thank you.
