As some people already know, we lost our beautiful Annika on 31/8/2021. We are beyond heartbroken. Annika and Vincent lost their father to suicide in May 2015, so we are now a family of two…

 

We are so very grateful for all the love and support we have received from so many people.

 

Annika was a much loved daughter, sister and friend to a wide range of people. She attended Blackheath Primary School and along with Vincent gave countless hours volunteering and raising much need funds in the school community. She attended Blue Mountains Grammar School and again was a caring student who volunteered for the school. Annika was a great and caring friend and will be so very sadly missed.

 

Our little family is shattered and Annika has left an aching void.

 

Unfortunately, there are so many costs involved in the death of a loved one. When it is your child it is unexpected and so wrong in the order of life…I wouldn’t wish this sorrow on any parent or sibling. I am currently working reduced hours due to circumstances out of my control, making the impact of Annika’s passing all the more difficult.

 

We have set ups this fundraiser to help cover some of the expected and unexpected costs associated with Annika’s passing. I would encourage everyone to check on their relevant life insurance policies, especially those that have accessed super funds during COVID. Due to a lack of work/income during the pandemic, the insurance policy for Annika was cancelled without notice.

 

Any support given is so very much appreciated. Any additional funds received would be used for a memorial for our beautiful girl, Annika.
