My name is Jackie Clark.
We have had Annie Marie for over 7 years, and out of the blue, she started getting ill. We took her to the vet and were told it was an emergency to save her life. She had acute organ failure. The vet referred Annie to an emergency veterinary specialist, who did many tests to diagnose her liver and gall bladder failures, with a high fever. She had ingested something bad, but we will never know what.
Annie is a little dog (12 pounds), and she was very ill. She needed emergency care: testing, IVs, medications, and round-the-clock medical monitoring. She came home after 48 hours, but we still didn't know if she would make it. She has steadily improved but has needed multiple medications and ongoing testing and monitoring. She will have to stay on some medications forever and be monitored for the rest of her life.
Annie is the joy of our lives and the heart of our home. Letting her go was never an option. Money is short, and we need help to pay off the bills that are already close to $8,000. Any help will be greatly appreciated by my husband Bob and me, and her little furry sister, Lucille. Our heartfelt thanks for your continued prayers and support during Annie's journey to recovery.
