Annie's emergency medical expenses

Donation protected
Annie, AKA Barbara Ann Norrod, is a wonderful, caring, and nurturing woman who is known for her generous and loving heart, her relationship with God, and being a caregiver for everyone in her life who needs it, whether physical, emotional, or both. She is currently a 1099 employee and a professional body builder.

Annie was recently diagnosed with a condition called Severe Stenosis and if she does not get spinal surgery done, she will lose the use of her legs and have continually worse pain. The condition would prevent any type of bodybuilding too, which she is extremely passionate about, along with hiking, swimming, and pretty much anything active.

Please consider donating to her upcoming medical, aftercare, and general living bills for her coming surgery.

On Nov 2nd, 2021, Annie started having foot drop on the left leg. This is when your foot no longer has the ability to go heel-to-toe. This means the nerve damage is progressing rapidly and surgery has been moved up to emergency-level urgency.

The operation has two stages:
Stage 1: The doctor will cut through her abdomen and perform an Anterior Lumbar Discectomy and fusion with plates at L4/L5/S1.
Stage 2: They will then flip her over and cut through her back and perform Posterior Lumbar Fusion, with cages, harvest of bone graft, pedicle screw and rod fixation and lamenectomy at L4/L5/S1.

Surgery is scheduled for December 16, 2021.

As a single person with limited resources (including insurance), the ability to pay for this surgery seems impossible! The neurosurgeon won't even operate without $33,295 paid in advance! This amount does not include the hospital, or any other professionals involved, which can easily reach $750,000-$1,000,000. There is a gap between what Annie's share plan pays and what the surgery will cost. Also, after care and medical devices are not covered. She's to be in surgery for many hours, in the hospital five days, have full time after care for two weeks, and wear a brace for a minimum of 12 weeks before she can begin physical therapy. PT is not covered either. She may be out of work  3-6 months and is a 1099 employee, so she will have no income unless she can find something she can do from her bed.

Annie is in need of our help, prayers, and financial support. This will literally be a life changing procedure for her! It's very high risk, but she's so passionate about keeping her mobility that she's willing to risk it. The only thing standing in her way to better health is finances. None of Annie's family lives close either, which makes this all the more challenging for her.

Annie believes that any challenge thrown at her has had a solution through God. This has enabled her to be a wonderful mentor to many young people and an example to all of what faith, courage, and strength truly looks like. Her life goal is to do her best regardless of the situations, because she believes that with God, all things are possible.

Annie has always reached out when others are in need and has never hesitated to make sacrifices to help them. Now she is the one in need, and we can help! No donation is too small, anything helps to reach our goal.

I pray you feel led in your heart to donate to this amazing woman's journey back to health. If you are not able to help financially, you can still help with your prayers! Thank you so much for your support!
