Annie's Commitment to Kogi School and Community
Spende geschützt
For the past 10 years, I’ve been visiting and volunteering at the Kogi (Kogui) school in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta—a place that has become a second home to my heart. I first arrived as a guest, but over time, I’ve returned again and again as a supporter of this sacred community.
The Kogi have often been called Elder Brothers, guardians of the Earth, and keepers of ancient memory. Their way of life is rooted in harmony, prayer, and deep listening to nature. While much of the modern world rushes forward, the Kogi have never left sacred relationship—with the land, with spirit, with time.
This fundraiser is to directly support the IED Kogui Mulkwakungui School, where I’ve witnessed firsthand the beautiful, resilient children of this lineage—learning, playing, and carrying forward the teachings of their people.
This is a grassroots effort. The school has limited access to even basic supplies. Funds raised will go directly toward:
Educational materials
Art, music, and traditional learning tools
Basic hygiene and care items
Support for the school’s staff and volunteers on the ground
As more sacred Indigenous knowledge is being extracted without proper reciprocity, it’s time we support the communities who have preserved these teachings for generations. This is not about charity—it’s about reciprocity and remembrance.
If you’ve ever received healing or wisdom from plant medicines, Indigenous traditions, or the natural world—this is a way to give back, to honor the roots, and to ensure future generations of Kogi children are supported in continuing their sacred path.
Any amount helps. Every share matters. All funds will be transferred directly to the school with full transparency and accountability.
From my heart to yours, thank you for supporting.
With love and deep respect,
Annie
