Annie's Cello Dream: Brevard Music Center Summer Camp

My name is Annie Quast. I have been playing cello for 4 years. I have participated in many different orchestra ensembles, including the Metropolitan Youth Symphony (MYS, Portland, OR), Brevard String Academy, and the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra (BSYO). I currently study with Yoni Draiblate in Tampa, Florida and my previous teacher was Anne Sato of Beaverton, OR.

I am raising money to attend the High School Orchestral Studies Program at the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina over the summer. This is a life-changing camp. I was just admitted with a merit scholarship of $2,500 and I am working hard towards reaching my goal of $8000.

The camp costs $9,200 and with travel to/from Brevard, NC I've determined that I still need to raise $8,000! That is a lot of money for an 8th grader to fundraise :) I'm doing my part by practicing everyday for 2-3 hours so that I am prepared to attend this camp.
