Our inspirational mother, grandmother and mother-in-law, Annie Perkins was diagnosed with terminal pancreas cancer in May 2015. For over 15 months she fought this terrible disease with such strength, positivity and zest for life but sadly lost her battle on 1st September 2016, aged 62.
Pancreas cancer has been a poorly funded cancer, while breast cancer received $180m from 2003 -2011 the survival rate is now 90%, whilst pancreas received $5m in funding during the same time period and the survival rate is 6%.
We are hoping to channel the love, energy and support for Annie and her family to raise funds to fight this awful disease. All monies raised will be directed to charities that support the fight against pancreas cancer.
